What we collect

From job seekers: your name, email, the resume you upload and the text taken from it, plus the skills, industries, work ethic notes, pay, schedule and location expectations you choose to publish.

From employers: your name, work email, company details and your subscription and payment records. Card numbers are handled by our payment provider and never reach our systems.

From everyone: basic activity needed to run the service, such as when a profile appeared in search, when it was opened, messages sent and interviews arranged.

Who can see your profile

A candidate profile is only searchable once you publish it and it has passed review. Employers browsing the platform see your professional details.

Your email address and phone number stay hidden until you accept an introduction request. Nobody can message you before you accept.

You can unpublish at any time, which removes you from employer search immediately.

How we use information

To run the marketplace: match profiles to employer searches, deliver introduction requests, messages and interview invitations, and keep subscriptions and introduction allowances accurate.

To keep the platform safe: review profiles before they go live, investigate misuse and prevent fraud.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it to train third-party advertising.

Emails you receive

Account emails such as sign-in confirmations and password resets are always sent. Introduction and status emails follow the choices on your notification settings page, including how often you want them.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep your information while your account is open. Closing your account from Settings permanently removes your profile, uploaded resume, messages, introduction requests and interview records.

Limited billing records are kept where the law requires it for tax and accounting.

Your choices

You can view and edit everything on your profile, download nothing you did not give us, turn emails off, unpublish, or close the account outright. If you want a copy of your data or have a privacy question, email hello@talentshelf.app.
